About Debbie Kipp

My professional journey began at a time when it was cool to have a typewriter with changeable fonts, an apple was something you ate, and if you were a “stripper” you probably worked for a respectable printer. After graduating from Missouri State University with a B.S. in Business Industrial Communications/Public Relations, that’s exactly what I did. A one-year stint with a little printer in Dallas, Texas was all I needed to become a life-long champion of print and paper.

From there I worked for an advertising/marketing/public relations agency in Kansas City, Missouri as Account Executive, Director of Public Relations. After six years of dealing with the day-to-day frustrations of client demands, I decided to return to my roots. I came home to St. Louis, Missouri and I switched to the Production Side.

I am currently the Senior Production Manager at Paradowski Creative, the largest independent creative firm in St. Louis. I’m proud to work with some of the most creative, smart and talented people in this industry.

My 25+ years of experience includes print production (lithography, digital, web, large format, etc.), direct mail, data management, trade show management, event planning, ad specialties, project management and radio production, plus an odd array of strange, miscellaneous and weird sourcing requests.

I believe life on the production side requires a constant state of learning about new technologies, equipment, techniques, processes and procedures. The goal of this blog is to share with you some of what I’ve learned along the way.

I’ve been happily married to my best friend for almost 25 years. We have two beautiful children (Jason and Nikki) who are both currently hiding out as college students. We also share our home with two cats (Callie and Tigger) and two very active border collies (Roxie and Faelen.)

If life is a playground, this blog is my sandbox. As such, it is mine alone. That means it does not represent the thoughts, views, opinions or practices of my employer, coworkers, friends, family, dogs, or cats. So if I happen to say something you do (or don’t) like, let’s discuss it together. I look forward to the conversation, along with your thoughts, comments and suggestions.

Now, let’s play. . .
